The Inflatable 5K Birthday Edition

Running a 5K for my birthday? Absolutely not.
Bouncing a 5K on inflatables? Now that is more my vibe.
To mark another year around the sun, I took on the Inflatable 5K, a course packed with giant slides, bouncy obstacles, and more wobble than actual running. Honestly? It was one of the most fun ways I’ve ever celebrated.
From the starting line, it was clear this wasn’t about speed, fitness, or personal bests. It was about laughing until your sides hurt, helping each other over (and off) inflatable obstacles, and fully embracing the chaos. Think less “race day focus” and more “screaming while flying off a bouncy castle.”
The course itself is packed with colourful inflatables, some you climb, some you crawl, and some you simply accept defeat on before trying again. There were plenty of photo-worthy moments, and let’s just say dignity was left somewhere around obstacle three.
I tackled it as a duo, which was perfect, we cheered each other on, laughed at every tumble, and honestly, it felt like the ultimate playful date.
If you’re looking for an activity that’s active, silly, and unforgettable, the Inflatable 5K is a total winner, whether as a mate date or a couple. No training plan required—just trainers, energy, and a willingness to laugh at yourself.
The course offers two options: 2.5K, which is one lap, or 5K, giving you double the fun. There’s water at the halfway point, and at the finish line, you get a sweet treat, a medal, and even some merch.
