I’ll be the first to admit—I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life. So when I came across a Terrarium Workshop at a local plant shop in Edinburgh, I figured it might just be a manageable step into the world of greenery… and I was right.

From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with a warm smile and handed an apron - ready to get your hands (a little) dirty. The team walks you through everything step by step, making the whole process super beginner-friendly and genuinely enjoyable.

Layering stones, soil, moss, and picking out the cutest little plants felt almost like building your own tiny world. It’s creative, calming, and the best part? You get to leave with a beautiful, low-maintenance terrarium to remind you of your wholesome morning.

The shop itself is an absolute gem - packed with lush plants, lovely gifts, and homely bits you’ll definitely want to browse on your way out.

So whether you’re a full-on plant parent or just testing the waters (like me), this little workshop is a perfect way to spend a chilled-out morning—and walk away with something a lot cuter (and harder to kill) than your average houseplant from Tesco (no offence, Tesco).
