I know...those who know me, don't look at me and think artistic vibes. But what I do love is a good experience, especially one that teaches me something along the way. That’s exactly what the Van Gogh Experience delivered.
At first glance, it starts off like a classic gallery: panels introducing his work, stories behind the brushstrokes. But then you turn a corner and suddenly, you're inside the art.
The walls, floors, and even ceilings are alive with motion. Pieces like Starry Night and Sunflowers are reimagined in motion, set to classical music and narration from Van Gogh’s own letters. It’s visually breathtaking, emotionally moving, and completely absorbing.
Whether you’re an art lover or, like me, just looking for something unique and thought-provoking, this exhibition is a must. It’s immersive, educational, and surprisingly relaxing - a total sensory escape.
Pro tip: Try to visit at quieter times to really soak it in. And give yourself time in the gift shop.
I believe it's making its way to Edinburgh again so don't miss out!
